Adobe Photoshop is a full-featured image editing program that is the standard in modern image editing. Unfortunately, it's expensive. You can download a trial version at Adobe.com, but it will only work for 30 days.

There is an open-source program called ''The Gimp'' at www.gimp.org. Although not as full-featured as Photoshop, you can't beat it's price (free!).

I don't think you can legally just download Photoshop.

It's pretty expensive, but it's worth it.

You can also check with your school/place you work. You may be able to get a discount. That's what I did. I got mine for $200.

But I'm not saying that there defiantly is no way to download it for free. If you can, I'm jealous of you. xD
Yep, go with GIMP if you don't want to pay for Photoshop.

GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.
Photoshop is best but quite expensive.

This is an easy link to many free design applications. A full description is given against each application with the associated download link. GIMP is similar to Photoshop but just browse the complete list and take your pick.
